LUNA takes its name from its rounded, moon-like silhouette, a smooth pebble shape in glass and metal that glows evenly across its whole rounded surface rather than throwing light from a single visible point. Sitting on a nightstand, it reads as much like a piece of sculpture as a functional lamp, especially when unlit, when the glass simply catches ambient light and holds a quiet presence on the surface it's sitting on. Switched on, the effect softens further: a gentle, all-around glow rather than a directional beam, comfortable to have running all night as a soft night light or to leave on low while reading in bed. Because it comes in four distinct sizes, from a genuinely petite 5 inch diameter up to a substantial 17.7 inch version, LUNA scales across an unusually wide range of uses, a small bedside accent at one end, and a genuine floor-adjacent or console table centerpiece at the other. That range means you can use the same design language throughout a home, small on a nightstand, larger on a living room console or entry table, without the pieces feeling disconnected from each other. It's the kind of quietly sculptural object that works whether it's providing real light or simply sitting there, unlit, as a considered decorative form.
Built from a combination of glass and metal, LUNA's rounded pebble form relies on the glass to diffuse and hold the light evenly across its curved surface, while the metal elements provide structural support and a base weight that keeps the smaller sizes stable on a table. The three smaller sizes, D13, D23, and D32, all run on a standard E27 bulb, letting you choose your preferred brightness and color temperature. The largest D45 size switches to a G9 bulb instead, a more compact bulb format better suited to the different internal proportions of that larger shade. Across all four sizes, maximum output tops out at a gentle 12 watts, intentionally modest since the diffused glass surface makes even a lower-wattage bulb read as a satisfying, even glow rather than needing to compensate with more raw brightness. The range in scale, from 5 inches up to nearly 18 inches, means LUNA functions differently depending on which size you choose: the smallest works purely as a bedside accent light, while the largest has enough presence and light output to serve as a genuine ambient source for a corner of a living room or a console table in an entryway, standing in comfortably for a small floor lamp.
We stock the full LUNA range at Monvera Space because a design this simple, a rounded pebble in glass and metal, only works if the proportions and finish are genuinely right at every scale, and this one holds up whether you're looking at the smallest or largest version. Its quiet, organic form pairs naturally with a warm, tactile interior already leaning into natural materials and soft curves, but the neutral glass and metal finish means it doesn't fight with a more geometric or minimalist room either. Consider using the smaller D13 or D23 sizes in pairs on a bedside table for a soft, balanced glow on either side of the bed, or place a single D32 or D45 on a console table or low shelf where its scale can genuinely anchor the room as both a light source and a sculptural object. Because the shape is so simple, LUNA also works well grouped with other rounded or organic decorative objects nearby, ceramics, stone bowls, that kind of company, reinforcing rather than competing with the pebble form. It's a considered, quietly versatile piece that adapts to wherever you need soft, ambient light without a single hard edge in sight, room after room, size after size.
